About us
Thomas Blackman Associates (TBA) has a large selection of exhibition panels and lighting equipment that has been used in major exhibitions all over the United States. Our high quality walls have been installed at Art Basel Miami Beach, Art Chicago, San Francisco International Art Exposition, NADA Art Fair, Art Miami, Art LA, Photo Miami and AIPAD Miami. Our panels and lights have also been used for a variety of smaller art and antique shows, and museums events around the country.
Other venues for our panels have included parks, fields, backyards, warehouses, schools, clubs, hotels and galleries, and under tents and canopies. We can provide panels in a variety of sizes, combinations and configurations, to help transform any space for any occasion.
TBA’s inventory includes 8-foot, 10-foot and 12-foot high panels. They are made with 3/8-inch skins on a wood frame and arrive on site painted and ready for installation. We recommend the taping and painting of the seams. They are shipped on pallets and shrink-wrapped for travel, and a wide variety of hanging devices can be used effectively from traditional hangers to drywall screws. Our walls are strong, beautiful and will safely meet the demands of your exhibition.
Panels are available in 4-foot, 2-foot and 1-foot widths. We have doors available for exhibitors who want a secure storage facility in their booth. All rentals come with the necessary connection devices, and additional materials for use on site such as seam tape, paint, plastic, etc. are available upon request.
TBA has an extensive lighting and power distribution system designed to give an exhibition quality lighting that is both efficient and at a cost effective price. Primary components include 300-watt halogen wall-washers and 90-watt spots and flood lights. They are used on tracks that are pre-installed in 11-inch aluminum truss with a 30-amp three-phase power distribution system that can be adapted to a number of power sources.
The truss can span up to 40 feet without additional support. When installed the lighting system generally sits on top of the walls or suspended from above with aircraft cables. We have thousands of feet of truss and thousands of light fixtures in stock.
